EL3318 analog giriş terminali, sekiz termokuplun doğrudan bağlanmasına izin verir ve bu nedenle özellikle kontrol kabinlerinde yerden tasarruf sağlayan kullanım için uygundur. EtherCAT Terminal devresi, 2 telli tekniği kullanarak termokupl sensörlerini çalıştırabilir. Bir mikroişlemci, serbestçe seçilebilen tüm sıcaklık aralığı boyunca doğrusallaştırmayı yönetir. Hata LED’leri, kopuk bir kabloyu gösterir. Soğuk bağlantı için telafi, terminalde bir dahili sıcaklık ölçümü ile yapılır. EL3318, mV ölçümü için de kullanılabilir.

Yüksek paketleme yoğunluğuna sahip HD EtherCAT Terminalleri (Yüksek Yoğunluk), 12 mm terminal bloğunun muhafazasında 16 bağlantı noktasına sahiptir.
